Fire Breaks Out at Forest Hills Commuter Rail

UPDATE, Monday 9:36 a.m. — Lightning looks to have caused the blaze.

The Boston Fire Department is fighting an early-morning blaze in an electrical vault by the commuter rail tracks at Forest Hills Station.

Smoke from the fire could be seen from a distance.

Firefighters responded to the blaze at 6:44 a.m. Saturday. Just after 8 a.m. a Fire Department spokesman Tweeted it had gone to two alarms.

Transportation officials Tweeted, also shortly after 8 a.m., that Orange Line trains were again moving, but there were delays along the commuter rail.
