Hello, JP! Here’s your Morning Memo for all things JP for Monday, Aug. 4.
National Night Out: From 4-8 p.m. on Monday, enjoy a block party in Egleston Square. It’s National Night Out against crime. The event will be centered around 3134 Washington St. Expected guests include Mayor Marty Walsh and Boston’s top cop, Commissioner William Evans. Better yet, meet the police officers who patrol Egleston. There will be food, entertainment and kids’ activities.
Big Week for Reading, Part I: On Monday night, folks interested in guiding the Sedgwick Street library’s renovation are invited for the latest design session. Starts at 6 p.m. after the library closes, 12 Sedgwick St.
Big Week for Reading, Part II: Also this week, there’s a fundraiser for JP Reads at Tres Gatos.
Put First Thursday on Your Calendar: I’ll preview this month’s First Thursday Art Walk in greater detail later this week, but set aside Thursday night to wander Centre/South, hear great music, eat delicious things and buy local art.
Have a great day, neighbors.
