Adventure in Montessori (AIM) is a Spanish bilingual school located on Rockwood Street, and offers care for infants through preschool.

The Montessori Method of education was developed by Maria Montessori, and allows students to choose activities within a range of offered options. From that way students learn concepts from working instead of direct instruction. A particular feature of Montessori schools is there are mixed-age classrooms.

“The complete musical arts program will include the teachings the musical instruments that builds confidence, self-expression and poise among our students. We will include the introduction of dancing and martial arts productions,” says AIM’s website.

The schools will also emphasize “…the pedagogy of comportment, practical life, mathematics and problem solving, geography and history.” Students will also be taught to appreciate art, study artists and instilled with values to protect “our planet and the wild species of the earth and ocean.”
