What do more than 50 local businesses, poutine, Mexican street corn, a social media contest and a bouncy house have in common? They’re all going to be at the 2nd Annual JP Local First Fair this Thursday at the Loring-Greenough House.
The JP Local First Fair is a great way to support many of our JP businesses, or get to know new ones. There will be a wide array of businesses with focuses on: bicycling, canines, real estate, financial planning, theater, helping the elderly, acupuncture, music, dance, legal services and more.
This year’s JP Local First Fair will feature live music from Back Bay Drumming and Evan of Music at the Blissful.
As per usual on Thursday nights during the summer there will be food trucks, and this week’s offerings include: Bon Me, Melt, Kebabish, and Eloti.
Plus the winners of the #JPLocalFirst Love Your Local contest will be announced. The winner will receive $500 to spend at local Jamaica Plain businesses. JP Local First will also be giving away prizes from Jamaica Plain Local First members when people spin the wheel of (JP Local First) fortune.
Not to be left out — there will also be a bouncy house for the kids (seriously, it’s just for the kids — have you seen how many kids there are at the Loring-Greenough House on Thursday nights??).
