UPDATE: We found out what caused the massive flooding.
~~~~~
An apparent overnight water main break on Centre Street sent rivers of water cascading into one of Jamaica Plain’s main thoroughfares late Friday night.
The flood, which appears to have started sometime after 11 p.m. near the intersection with South Huntington Avenue where work crews had been active well into the evening, led to a series of posts, photos and videos shared on social media, as well as reports of low water pressure in residents’ homes Saturday morning.
Jamaica Plain News has a call in to the Boston Water and Sewer Commission. We’ll update this story when we hear more from the agency.
