All-Female Queen Tribute Band Will Rock You on First Thursday

Good morning, Jamaica Plain. Here’s your Morning Memo for all things neighborhood-y for Wednesday, Sept. 3.

Guaranteed to Blow Your Mind: Yes, you read the headline correctly. Gunpowder Gelatine, Boston’s all-woman Queen tribute band, plays at the Loring-Greenough House for First Thursday. I heard them play Pride up in Salem last year and they put on a great show. 6-8 p.m. Thursday at 12 South St.

Get an Early Listen to the JP Music Festival Lineup: Speaking of live music, of course you already know the JP Music Festival is Saturday, right? Right. To sample this year’s bands, the organizers have put together an online playlist of nearly all the bands you’ll hear on Saturday. The festival itself is noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday on Pinebank Field down by the Pond.

Bike Lane for Walk Hill Street: The city’s newest round of painted bike lanes will include Walk Hill Street from Hyde Park Avenue to Blue Hill Avenue, according to Boston Magazine.
