Good day, Jamaica Plain! Here’s your afternoon edition of the Morning Memo for Friday, July 18.
Tour Hyde Square With the JP Historical Society: I’ve said this before, but if you’ve never taken advantage of the Historical Society’s enlightening and free walking tours of JP’s sub-neighborhoods, you’re missing out. Saturday’s tour is of Hyde Square. Meet in front of Sorella’s at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Great Weather Expected for Porchfest on Saturday: It should be dry with a high of 77 for Jamaica Plain Porchfest, which brings 60 bands to porches all over the neighborhood. Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Interesting Items in Today’s Gazette: The latest edition of the Gazette is out. Jamaica Plain News can’t be everywhere covering everything, so I encourage you to pick up a copy or read it online. For instance, there’s a story about a potentially huge mixed-use development in Egleston.
Okay, have a great rest of the day, JP!
