Gubernatorial candidate and Newton Mayor Setti Warren will be speaking at Doyle’s Cafe on Thursday night.
Warren will be talking at a JP Progressives monthly meeting that starts at 6:30 pm. Updates from JP Progressives on “resisting Trump’s GOP,” Raise Up Agenda, criminal justice reform, local elections and more will kickoff the event. A discussion with Warren will be around 7 pm.
The two-term Newton mayor is a Democrat who previously worked in the White House when Bill Clinton was president, and also worked for former US Senator John Kerry. He’s also an Iraq War veteran.
Warren supports a single payer healthcare system and free college. He is running against current Governor Charlie Baker.
