The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection to an indecent assault near Jamaica Pond Thursday night.
According to BPDNews.com, at about 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, officers responded to a call for a report of an indecent assault in the area of Jamaica Pond. According to the victim, she and another companion were walking on the Jamaicaway side of the pond when an unknown male approached her and indecently assaulted her.
The victim described the suspect as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall and 250 to 300 pounds, with a beard. He was believed to be wearing a baseball hat, a grey T-shirt and long pants. The suspect fled the area after the assault.
The Boston Police Sexual Assault Unit is actively investigating the incident. Anyone with any information is asked to call detectives directly at 617-343-4400.
