Jamaica Plain can expect anywhere from two to eight inches of snow Thursday, according to a review of several forecasts. Meteorologists say the exact track of the snow line is hard to predict.

The snow should move into our area around 7-9 a.m. Thursday, according to David Epstein on his “Weather Wisdom” blog at boston.com.

WHDH calls it a “big, messy storm” that will at some point switch over to rain.

CBS Boston is calling for JP to get between three and six inches of snow. Getting rain on top of sleet on top of heavy, wet snow is a recipe for downed limbs and power lines, CBS Boston predicts.

The Jamaica Plain News will be opening our Storm Center on Thursday. Check back with us and we’ll keep you updated on all the neighborhood’s storm news.
