As the plan to improve the Jamaica Pond Boathouse and Bandstand begins, the city estimates the process will take 3.5 years, with renovations being completed in 2030 at the earliest. Little Joe the gorilla has led a storied life at the Franklin Park Zoo. He gained national attention back in 2003 when he escaped, and was found sitting at a Blue Hill Avenue bus stop.
