Allandale’s Beloved Steer Curtis Passed Away

Sadly, after 18 years of living at Allandale Farm, Curtis the highland steer passed away on January 27. He and his brother Willard, who passed away last year, were beloved by children and adults, often attracting passersby to quickly pull into the lot after seeing the long-horned black shaggy bovines. After delaying elections twice, the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council is seeking more candidates for the upcoming springtime scheduled election. Boston Public Schools Closed for Monday, Jan. 26

All Boston Public Schools and central offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26 due to snow. BPS announced the closures on Saturday as the impending snowstorm is expected to drop more than a foot of snow on the area. Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly broke into a post office truck on Sheridan Street on Wednesday.
