Before you leave for a vacation or business trip, you’re likely performing many tasks. Packing for one person can be stressful, let alone packing for two people, or a whole family. Before you check off your pre-travel to-do list, though, make sure that you perform a couple of extra tasks that will help to protect your home or apartment in case of an emergency.

Pols Lift Booze License Cap for Boston

One of the items passed in Beacon Hill’s last-day-of-the-session frenzy was an economic development bill that finally gives Boston full control of its own liquor licenses — and sets aside 75 new licenses for JP and other neighborhoods outside downtown.

Anyone else notice how the past few weeks has been near-constant jet-takeoff noise in JP? I know we need to take our share of the noise pollution, but any reason it’s happening near-constantly — and right now? Call me curious.

More than 150 people attended Tuesday’s production of “La Nona,” a comedy written by Argentine Roberto Cossa. Roslindale’s Escena Latina Teatro performed it in Spanish. Here’s a gallery of photos from a lovely night in Mozart Park.
