Vigil in Support of Black Lives Matter

Everyone is warmly invited to the monthly Vigil in Support of Black Lives Matter on Thursday, November 7, from 5:30 – 6:30 pm, on the lawn of the First Baptist Church in Jamaica Plain at 633 Centre Street. The speaker will be Danny Vargas, of Hyde Square Task Force, who co-authored their study of pricing inequities at the Jackson Square Stop & Shop as a high school senior. First published in the Globe in June 2023, the study’s findings are now being investigated by Senator Elizabeth Warren and other MA officials. Following Danny’s remarks there will be a call and response reading of names of victims of racist violence and a stand-out with signs along Centre Street. Please join us as we stand for racial justice and against white supremacy.
