Vigil in Support of Black Lives Matter

October 3 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Everyone is warmly invited to the October 3 Vigil in Support of Black Lives Matter, 5:30-6:30 pm, on the lawn of the First Baptist Church in Jamaica Plain at 633 Centre Street.

Our speakers will be three young people from More Than Words, a non-profit youth run business which works with some of Boston’s most vulnerable young adults, including those in the foster care system, court involved, homeless, or out of school. They will share their advocacy work on behalf of the Raise the Age legislation, which would raise the age of juvenile jurisdiction in MA to 18, and other efforts. We invite you to bring any books you would like to donate to More Than Words (up to one grocery bag full) for their online and retail bookstore run by the youth.
