A new pizza restaurant is looking to open on Washington Street where neighborhood staple Doyle’s previously operated.
Stoked Pizza is scheduled to appear at the next Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council Public Service Committee meeting on January 2. Representatives of the restaurant will be speaking about their application for a 7-day alcohol license. The agenda says the business is looking for a 2 am closing. The restaurant would have an outdoor seasonal deck on the second floor with 80 seats.
There are two locations of Stoked Pizza in the area — one in Brookline and one in Cambridge. It is not immediately clear whether this would be the third outpost of the chain.
Doyle’s Cafe closed in 2019 and is in the midst of a renovation as part of a Boston Planning & Development Agency-approved project that also includes residential and commercial components.
