Last updated on July 11, 2019

The Steering Committee of JP Local First is pleased to announce that they have hired a new Director of Membership and Community Outreach, Cyd Charise Jeyes. You may have met her recently at the Local First Fair, or around the neighborhood, where she is a regular patron of many of our members.

Cyd grew up in the Egleston Square area and after traveling and living away from JP for several years, moved back with her family five years ago.

Cyd has a wealth of experience ranging from teaching to marketing to event production as well as being an accomplished artist. In addition to her love for the neighborhood and its diversity of locally-owned businesses, she brings Spanish proficiency to the job.

When asked what her favorite thing about JP is, Cyd replied, “I love experiencing JP as an adult — it’s a completely different world. And I get a kick out of watching my children explore and enjoy the places I loved as a kid.“

Cyd will be taking over the position being vacated by Adam Gibbons after more than two years of valuable service. Adam is leaving JP Local First to launch Small Biz Helper,  a provider of website creation, social media campaigns, email marketing, and SEO to small businesses and nonprofits.
