Curley School Principal Katie Grassa got pied in the face 11 times on Wednesday after the school hit its fundraising goal of $17,000.
The momentous and continuous pie-ing happened throughout the school’s Fun Run, which took place throughout the day. Grassa got pied 11 times because she wanted to be sure that all the kids got to see her, so she took one in the face after each grade came out to run.
How great is our school principal? She told the kids she'd get pied in the face if we made our fundraising goal. We did and she did! You're the best, @PrincipalGrassa. #curleycares https://t.co/Q5aqrxwVuO

The Curley School Parent Council organized the fundraiser with plenty of support from teachers, administrators, and staff.
Last year’s fundraiser netted $18,000, which was used to support Playworks, the school’s leadership and anti-bullying program.
