Jamaica Plain has an amazing array of cuisines and soon it’ll have a new type as the Boston area Jamaica Mi Hungry food truck is planning on opening a brick and mortar store in Jackson Square.
Jamaica Mi Hungry, which has a brick and mortar store in New Hampshire, would be opening its first Boston area storefront at 225 Centre St. That location had been the home to Mooyah Burgers, Fries and Shakes, which closed in November, after only being open since June 2017.

Jamaica Mi Hungry is the creation of chef Ernie Campbell, who grew up in Jamaica, and honed his culinary skills at country clubs, hotels and schools. He decided that Boston was missing the cooking that he grew up with and decided to start his own food truck.
It is not clear when Jamaica Mi Hungry plans on opening its store.
