A public meeting about a proposed 4-story apartment building at 121 Brookside Avenue will be on Jan. 23.
The proposal by Cedar Hill Design & Development would replace an existing parking lot. It would be 21 residential units on the top three floors, two artist live/work spaces and 11 garage parking spaces on the first floor. The building would be 19,347 sq. ft.
This proposal is larger than an earlier proposal that Cedar Hill’s Scott Johnson told Jamaica Plain News about in February 2018. That proposal was four floors, but only nine units.
Cedar Hill is also building a 4.5-story 9-unit building at 114-120 Brookside Ave. There was an earlier version of that proposal that was five stories and had more housing, but those plans were altered once abutters complained about the height.
The public meeting about the 121 Brookside Ave. proposal is on Jan. 23 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at the Brookside Community Health Center (3297 Washington St.).
