Help Family Displaced By Fire, Home Daycare Destroyed and Dog Died

Tragedy struck Tuesday morning when a three-alarm fire destroyed the Andujar’s home, in-house daycare and also killing their family dog. Neighbors quickly jumped and created a gofundme page to help the family start over, find temporary housing and overcome the loss of income from the daycare.

Margarita Acevedo (Andujar) was able to get out of the home safely and evacuated five children. Her family is all safe and no people were hurt from the fire. But sadly, their family dog of seven years was unable to make it out of the home.

“The family is mostly grateful that they and the children from the daycare are safe, but they have lost everything, including their family business, after many years of hard work,” says the gofundme page.

The donation page has a goal of $25,000 and by 11 pm on Tuesday night donations already totaled more $3,900 from 97 people.
