Do you love yarn and have always wanted your own knitting business? Here’s your opportunity because JP Knit & Stitch is for sale.
“Our five year lease is up and this seems like the perfect opportunity to transition ownership of the shop. We are looking for the right person — or person(s) — to take over the shop and nurture its growth into its next phase. Our terms are very reasonable. This is a great moment to step into a fully operational community yarn + fabric shop,” wrote co-owner Genevieve Day in an email blast.
Day explained that the owners are looking to fully focus on their second business, New England Farm to Fiber, which opened the fall of 2016 in the Boston Public Market.
“After seven years of managing day-to-day operations of a community based full service yarn + fabric shop, we are ready for a change. We are looking forward to focusing full time on New England Farm to Fiber,” said Day.
A Facebook post also talked about the store hosting well attended stitch nights to create pussy hats for the Women’s March in January 2017.
But just because the business is for sale doesn’t mean that Day and her co-owners aren’t still putting 100 percent effort into the Centre Street business. January classes are posted on the business’ website and the store is stocked with fabulous yarn.
“We have some goodies on the way (ahem … Hedgehog Fibers sock yarn just shipped from Ireland!). So please come on by and say hi and get your craft on with us!” said Day.
