A man who allegedly drove drunk, killing one person and injuring two others in Jamaica Plain on Dec. 22nd, was arraigned Friday in Roxbury Municipal Court.
Joseph Kayode, 23, was charged with causing the death of Emmanuel Cabral, 56, while operating under the influence of alcohol in an accident that occurred in the area of Columbus Avenue in Jamaica Plain, according to the Suffolk Country District Attorney’s office. He was also charged with causing serious injury while operating under the influence of alcohol.
Judge Pamela Dashiell set a $7,500 cash bail and ordered that Kayode remain alcohol free and submit to random alcohol screenings pending trial. His next scheduled court appointment is Jan. 30th.
