Halloween 5K Walk/Run Around Jamaica Pond to Support BPS Students on Oct. 29th

Last updated on October 10, 2017

You can support Boston Public School students by running or walking in a Halloween 5K race that goes around Jamaica Pond on Oct. 29th. And wearing costumes is encouraged!

Come in your best, scariest, funniest Halloween costume and trick or treat around the pond. Families with kids and pets are more than welcome to join. There will be prizes from local businesses for the best costumes, the fastest racer and more.

Money will be raised to help Boston Public School students take life-changing national and international service trips through Quest Adventures. Quest Adventures will award 100 percent of all money raised at this event in the form of a $5-6,000 grant for each of Quest’s upcoming 2018 teams. These grants will support the extensive fundraising efforts of committed teams of students and teachers as they raise approximately $20,000 on their own for their service trips.

Walkers and Runners will have the opportunity to meet students from Quest’s 2018 April teams, visit its photo gallery, and hear first hand about the impact of the Quest Adventures experience on our Boston Public School students.

You can do early bird registration by clicking here, which is $20 for adults and $12 for students. On the day of the race registration is $30 for adults and $15 for students. A $40 donation includes a free Quest 5K/Walk/Run t-shirt. Children under 10 are free to participate. Quest Adventures, Inc is a 501(c)3 organization and donations are tax deductible.

Registration on race day begins at 8 am at the Jamaica Pond Boathouse for runners and walkers. The 5K run begins at 9 am, 2K stroller race and 5K walk begin at 10 am.
