The 4th Annual Jamaica Plain Porchfest will take place on July 8 and like previous years, a new element is being added — a Resource Mobilization Fair. At the fair local nonprofit organizations will be able inform people about important issues of concern, including housing, climate change and more.
The music and arts festival will take place on 95 porches and feature 206 bands across Jamaica Plain from noon to 6 pm. And Jamaica Plain News will have a more extended preview later this week.
But for now read up about the nonprofit organizations that are participating in the Resource Mobilization Fair at the First Baptist Church (633 Centre St.).

Also, Hubway has offered free 24 hour bikes for the day of Porchfest to the first 100 people to RSVP at this link. The Old Time Trolley is also being offered to get around to Porchfest locations, and donations are still welcome by clicking here to cover the costs of the trolleys.
Check back later this week for a preview of the 4th Annual Jamaica Plain Porchfest.
