Celebrate Mother’s Day with JP Nonprofit and Help Moms in Need

Last updated on May 2, 2017

Local Jamaica Plain nonprofit, Community Servings, is celebrating Mother’s Day with its 14th annual Meals4Moms fundraiser. The fundraiser provides nutritious meals to moms living with a life-threatening illness like HIV/AIDS, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and other critical illnesses.

A $25 or $50 donation can feed a mom in need for one or two weeks.

How It Works:
For a $25 donation, recipients will receive a beautiful card created by local artist Susy Pilgrim Waters with a personal message inside. This donation supports a week’s worth of made-from-scratch meals for a mom who is too sick to cook for herself or her family, delivered right to her home.

For a $50 donation, recipients will receive a beautiful card and a box of handmade chocolate bark or a tin of gourmet nuts from local retailer, Fastachi. This donation supports two weeks’ of meals from Community Servings.

Cards & Gifts can be purchased online at meals4moms.org until Wednesday, May 10th. Gifts can be shipped nationwide.
