Bank Robber Waited In Line Before Holding Up East Boston Savings Bank

There are a lot of different ways to rob a bank. Some bank robbers brazenly run in with guns pointed at employees, others pass a note while wearing a mask — and on Tuesday a bank robber waited in line before holding up the East Boston Savings Bank at 515 Centre St.

This man is wanted for robbing the East Boston Savings Bank on Centre Street in Jamaica Plain on Jan. 3, 2017.

The FBI’s Bank Robbery Task Force reports a male suspect “entered the bank and approached the teller station after waiting in line. Handed the teller a demand note for money and also made a verbal demand.”

The suspect was given money by the bank teller and fled in the direction of Spring Park Avenue.

The suspect is described as having a dark complexion, medium height and medium build.

If you have seen the suspect or have information about the robbery please contact the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force at 617-742-5533.
