JP Forum to Discuss Progressivism During Trump

The JP Progressives organization is hosting a forum featuring the NAACP Boston, the American Civil Liberties Union, Planned Parenthood and more on how Jamaica Plain residents can fight for progressive values.

“When core progressive principles like the defense of civil liberties, women’s rights, anti-racism, protection of immigrants, and respect for our climate and future are at risk, Jamaica Plain can take action,” said a JP Progressives email about the event.

NAACP Boston President Tanisha M. Sullivan will speak, as will representatives from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Planned Parenthood,  Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Coalition (MIRA) and the Boston Climate Action Network (BCAN)/Boston 350.

“Don’t despair over the direction of our country; help change it by acting with these organizations that have worked for us through good times and bad, and need our support more than ever in the next four years,” said the JP Progressives email.

The forum is taking place on Thursday, Jan. 12th at 6:30 pm at the First Baptist Church (633 Centre St.). This is a free event, but registration is requested by clicking here.
