A two-alarm fire overnight on Hall Street reportedly caused by careless disposal of smoking materials on the first-floor porch displaced three residents.
According to the Boston Fire Department’s Twitter feed, firefighters responded at 4:22 a.m. Wednesday morning to 36 Hall St. on reports of a building fire. Upon arrival, they observed heavy fire on the rear porches of the building that extended into the living area.
There were no injuries, but three adults were displaced. The fire chief estimates the fire damage at $400,000.
