First, a little about myself. I’m originally from Mission Hill going to school at Mission Grammar until the sixth grade. Later we moved to Jamaica Plain where I finished grade school at Saint Thomas Aquinas.
Than I attended Boston Tech, Boston University and Northeastern where I got my degree in business management.
I have earned a living in the private sector for over 40 years. I am looking for a new challenge.
I believe the job as Register of Deeds of Suffolk County fits the bill. I have managed as many as 50 employees in a union shop environment. The registry has about 28 employees with a budget of $1.8 million.
The last 27 years I have been a real estate agent based out of a West Roxbury office. My online research on a daily basis of multiple registry sites has given me the knowledge needed to navigate in and around the registry.
I am also a notary public with over 20 years of service to people of the commonwealth. This experience has taught me what a good or bad document looks like.
Editor’s note: Jamaica Plain News invited the four Suffolk County Register of Deeds candidates to submit op-eds about why they want to be elected to the position on Election Day.
