MassDot officials say closing the original eastbound off-ramp will reduce from four to three the number of crossings that pedestrians must traverse when accessing Forest Hills T station from South Street on foot.
Beyond the off-ramp closure, officials say that work during the next few weeks will include forming and reinforcing the expanded upper busway at Forest Hills station, as well as installing curbing, light poles and drainage structures. MassDOT’s full three-week look ahead, spanning Aug. 15 to Sept. 2, is below.
Got questions or concerns? MassDOT officials will hold office hours next Tuesday, Aug. 23, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.at the Curtis Hall community center at 20 South St.
As previously reported, the completion date for the Casey Arborway project has been delayed a full year later than originally forecast, with full beneficial use of the site slated for fall 2017.
