“Spending a full day in a neighborhood brings new insights both into the unique challenges of that neighborhood, as well as into citywide challenges. Sharing the day with Councilor O’Malley will only enhance my understanding of Jamaica Plain residents’ hopes and vision for JP,” said Essaibi-George.

“We both want to help ensure that the city is doing what it can to protect and enhance the quality of life in Jamaica Plain. As an at-large councilor I’m committed to serving each of Boston’s diverse communities by understanding the issues and opportunities from each communities’ perspective,” she added.

In “Annissa-At-Large,” the councilor spends a full day in one of Boston’s district neighborhoods. She visits with constituents where they work, play and gather, in community centers, libraries, schools, parks, business and municipal locations, and other places. Essaibi-George has spent an Annissa-At-Large day with constituents in East Boston, Mattapan, and Brighton.
