As Boston Public School students protest budget cuts to their schools, elected officials are also trying to fight for public schools. On Tuesday night At-Large City Councilor Ayanna Pressley will lead a community conversation at Doyle’s Cafe in Jamaica Plain to discuss Boston Public Schools budget cuts, unified enrollment and the continued expansion of charter schools.
OPENBoston is sponsoring this conversation with Pressley to discuss the proposed $50 million in Boston Public School cuts and more.
This is a public meeting to talk about the state of public education in Boston with parents, students, teachers and community members.
This event is taking place on Tuesday, March 8 at 6:30 to 8 pm at Doyle’s Cafe (3484 Washington St.).
