‘Puppy Mill’ Dog Adopted to Home with Another Shar-Pei

Nelson, a critically ill puppy mill dog, has found his fur-ever home thanks to the MSPCA-Angell. Nelson had previously been brought to the MSPCA requiring emergency surgery.

From the MSPCA-Angell Facebook page: It’s official, after more than 1,000 email inquiries and over 50 adoption applications & “meet and greets,” Nelson the Shar Pei-pug puppy has been adopted!

Nelson’s new home includes another Shar-Pei — Mugsy. Mugsy and Nelson met last week (seen above) — and they apparently saw nose to nose and will be happy living together in the same home.

Nelson, an adorable 9-week-old Shar-Pei/pug puppy, was bought online and shipped from Missouri to Massachusetts by truck. He arrived in the state so ill he required emergency veterinary intervention.
