When Centre Street Cafe came under new ownership earlier this year, the JP brunch crowd was relieved to learn that the lines-out-the-door weekend tradition would continue — and just keep getting tastier, it seems.
In its list of 10 must-try pancakes in Boston, Zagat praises the restaurant’s pancake del giorno ($9). “Some of the more recent variations include banana-Nutella pancakes with coffee butter, zucchini-carrot pancakes with cream cheese frosting, and corn-molasses pancakes with shishito pepper butter,” Zagat writes. So whether you prefer your pancakes and toppings spicy, sweet or caffeinated, Centre Street Cafe has you covered.
Of course, when talking about pancakes in JP, we’d be remiss in not also expressing our appreciation for the creative (and gargantuan) flapjacks at Sorella’s, with such dizzying combinations as ginger-blueberry-hazelnut and pumpkin-cranberry-walnut.
