The Boston Globe reports that state education officials did not release English High School’s MCAS math results despite releasing scores statewide on Thursday. A state official cited irregularities that needed further examination, but chose not elaborate.
There is no indication that cheating is involved, according to Mitchell D. Chester, the state’s commissioner of elementary and secondary education.
No other schools in Massachusetts appeared to have their test scores withheld, according to the commissioner.
Taking the MCAS is a requirement for students to graduate.
