On Thursday, the team behind a new Mexican restaurant will make its case to city bureaucrats to open in the former Amory Restaurant space at 224 Amory St.
The spot, to be called Chilacates, is seeking permission to be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and to provide 10 seats plus counter service.
It’s not the only Mexican-inspired eatery on the horizon for JP. The Tres Gatos/Centre Street Cafe team is opening a fresh-Mex place called “Casa Verde” in the former Ghazal space.
[Tip of the hat to Eater Boston and Luis Cotto for highlighting this.]
