For thirty years Michael Reiskind and Bob McDonnell have organized Boston Shines in Jamaica Plain. That’s three mayors’, five governors’ and five presidents’ worth of neighborhood cleanups. And of course, they’ve had lots of help.

For the past several Boston Shines, City Hall’s liaison to JP, Jullieanne Doherty, has been the Energizer Bunny of cleanup organization. Doherty said more than 500 volunteers helped for this year’s cleanups.

Here’s a gallery of scenes from around JP on a gorgeous Saturday morning.
