The JP Music Festival is now accepting applications from musicians to perform at our 5th annual festival on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015 at Pinebank Field (at Jamaicaway and Perkins Street) from 12-7 PM!
The JP Music Festival is a nonprofit festival organized by a group of volunteers and JP residents to give Jamaica Plain musicians the opportunity to perform in front of thousands of attendees and have your music heard by lots of potential new fans. We welcome music in every genre and through the years we have featured Afrobeat, Americana, Baroque, classical, country, dance, folk, funk, gospel, hip-hop, jazz, Latin, metal, Mexican, pop, punk, rock, rock, ska, soul, and everything in between!
It’s a great day of amazing music, community, and good times. We will also have food trucks, music educators, merch, and kids activities. Best of all, the festival is free!
With two stages, each act gets a 20 minute set and we rotate back and forth between two adjacent stages, so the music keeps coming.
To apply, you must have at least one member of your band/group/ensemble/orchestra who lives or works in Jamaica Plain. You must also perform original music at the fest. Sorry, no cover bands.
With the festival produced by a group of volunteers and tons of services donated to make it all happen, we ask musicians to donate their time and performance for the benefit of the all the “Bostonians” that come out for the show.
To apply, fill out a brief Google form. Link at http://jpmusicfestival.com/apply. We’ll be in touch in June 2015 either way.
