A team of prisoners was shoveling Hyde Square on Tuesday. Teams of convicts have been dispatched to various parts of the region as Boston battles record snowfall.
WHDH reported inmates were also set to work on the Red Line around Braintree. The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office reported last week that it had sent seven crews of 61 inmates out to help dig out from the storm.
Jamaica Plain News is seeking confirmation about where the inmates working Hyde Square are from, and how much they are being paid.
