On Friday, the Department of Transportation sent out this list of what to expect from the next three weeks of the huge Casey Arborway project.

The next public meeting on the project is March 9 at English High. Here are the details. And here’s a story about the raucous first public meeting held on construction.

Casey Arborway Project: 3-Week Look-Ahead: Feb. 17 through March 6:
During the week of Tuesday, Feb. 17, snow removal will continue as necessary. Tree removal for the placement of the temporary roadway will likewise be ongoing. Both of these operations will continue throughout the period covered by this look ahead as will adjustments to utility frames and covers. Additional work elements will include:
- Widening of the westbound Arborway surface road at Washington Street
- Snow removal and establishment of a work zone in the parking lot at 500 Arborway.
Operations for the week of Feb. 23 will comprise:
- Installation of additional tree protections
- Widening of the westbound Arborway surface road at Washington Street
- Installation of temporary street lighting and drainage structures
- Relocation of MWRA chamber vent piping
- Establishment of work zones from Shea Circle to Washington Street along the westbound Arborway surface road
- Preparation of temporary roadway sections for paving
During the week of March 2, the majority of work begun during the week of Feb. 23 will continue. New elements for this week will include:
- Placement of temporary striping and installation of temporary traffic signal modifications at westbound Arborway surface road/Washington Street
- Installation of temporary traffic signal modifications at New Washington Street/South Street
- Continued modifications to the 500 Arborway parking area
- Installation of temporary barrier on the Casey Overpass
Work will not take place on Monday, Feb. 16 in recognition of Presidents’ Day. All work is subject to weather conditions.
