The National Weather Service on Thursday issued a blizzard watch for the JP area. The storm, which could come with whiteout conditions, is expected Saturday evening into Sunday evening. Total snow accumulation expected: 8-14 inches.
It’s been long since the narrow streets of JP had room for any more snow. The city has seen 78 inches of snow dumped on it in 2015.
The Weather Service warns the blizzard could made travel “difficult if not impossible” and that “blowing and drifting snow combined with strong winds may create problems for uncleared roofs.”
