Man wanted in robbery of Tostado, 300 Centre St., on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015.

Police made an arrest in the robbery of Jackson Square sandwich and batido shop Tostado. On Thursday, Jan. 22, at 6:27 p.m., a man pointed a black handgun at a clerk in the 300 Centre St. restaurant and demanded money. He got away with $258, according to Mass Most Wanted.

According to Universal Hub and confirmed by Officer Rachel McGuire of the Boston Police Department, Richard Perry, 41, of Somerville was arrested on Friday, Jan. 23 by Cambridge Police, Boston Police and federal marshals. He was initially charged with robberies in Cambridge. The Tostado robbery charge was added the next day.

There has been a wave of armed robberies in Jamaica Plain recently. Detectives are not at this point linking Perry to those crimes, McGuire said.

Surveillance footage from the other armed robberies appears to be of a heftier man who lacks a goatee.
