If you choose to mark Martin Luther King Jr. Day by helping out in the community, there’s a good volunteer opportunity at Franklin Park. The park is hosting a Day of Service.

You’ll join neighbors to clean up the 220-acre park. Organizers ask that you bring a bag lunch, though coffee and donuts will be on hand for breakfast. No need to bring tools, as organizers will have those. They recommend against wearing nylon jackets, which can get scratched by branches.

For more details, head over to the event’s Facebook page or the Franklin Park website.
