Deluge Brings Flood Advisory for Jamaica Plain

A drenching storm may pass by 9:30 a.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Several weather alerts were in effect for Jamaica Plain on Monday morning, including a flood advisory and severe thunderstorm warning.

As of 9:25 a.m. the storm appeared to be tapering off in JP, but the flood advisory continues until 10:15 a.m. The National Weather Service advises the rain will cause pooling of water on the streets and underpasses. They caution not to drive through flooded roads.
