JP Just Behind Dot in Most Graffiti Reports

An MIT data visualization shows what you probably knew already — there’s a lot of graffiti in JP.

BostInno has a nice analysis of the MIT project, which you can see yourself here.

The data is from 2013. It’s culled from the city’s newish open data portal.

Broken down by neighborhood, Dorchester led the city with 457 reported instances of graffiti. Jamaica Plain was right behind with 447. It’s worth noting that what’s being measured here are reports of graffiti. So while it’s clear JP has plenty of graffiti, we also have plenty of people motivated enough to report it to the city.
