City Councilor Matt O’Malley, who represents JP, has set a meeting on Monday, July 21 to address the recent spate of shootings at and near Stony Brook Station.
“There have been three shootings in the Stony Brook T station/Egleston Square neighborhood so far this summer,” O’Malley wrote in an announcement of the meeting. “While the men and women of the Boston Police Department are working diligently to address this seemingly targeted spate of violence, I know that many neighbors and community leaders have questions and concerns.”
Here is a run-down of the incidents:
- On Saturday, a young man was wounded at 178 School St.
- On Monday, July 7, a young man was shot in the leg right outside Stony Brook T.
- One man was found dead and another wounded at School and Arcadia streets on Sunday, June 20.
The community meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, July 21 at the Nate Smith House, 155 Lamartine St. O’Malley asks residents to call his office if you have questions at 617-635-4220.
