Hit-and-run Suspect Who Crashed in JP Held on $10K Bail

The driver who prosecutors say struck a teen in Dorchester, then took a wild drive to JP where he crashed his car, had a criminal record.

Manuel Alfonseca, 32, of Roxbury, pleaded not guilty to leaving the scene of a collision with injuries and driving with a suspended license, according to the Boston Herald.

According to CBS Boston, the man’s red Infiniti crashed into a car on Glenside Avenue in JP, not a house as originally reported.

The teen, who was on a scooter when he was hit and seriously injured at Kingsdale and Standish streets in Dorchester, has been released from Boston Medical Center, the Herald reports.
