A trained spotter in Lynn saw a funnel cloud to the southwest, according to the National Weather Service. That sparked a tornado warning effective until 6:15 p.m.
The area for the tornado warning includes northeastern Suffolk County (i.e. part of Boston) and eastern Middlesex County.
