Tweeps — If you’re into Jamaica Plain history, there’s a new Twitter account you have to follow.

David Stoddard Greenough II, one of the Loring-Greenough House Greenoughs, kept a diary starting July 1, 1814. The Jamaica Plain Tuesday Club is tweeting each day’s entry under the nom-de-Twitter @DSG2_JPTC. Here’s look at the well-to-do-lawyer’s diary so far:

If you seriously can’t wait for the next day’s entry, you can mainline the whole diary from its digital home at the Massachusetts Historical Society.

There’s lots of interesting history about the Greenough family. Did you know their connection to a certain world-historical tea party, for instance?

To learn more, stop by the Greenough’s old home at 12 South St. or take advantage of the wealth of materials maintained by the JP Historical Society.
